Back to Printing

I have taken a short break from printing (as well as blogging) for a few weeks as I got back into the groove of things for the new tri. This tri I am taking an independent printmaking class. After last tri I decided that one tri of printmaking was not enough for me, so i choose to take a more in-depth class on the printing process.

For this class I will be doing at least 5 editions. I am going to do a couple of linoleum prints and I will be trying out a few other types of printmaking, including drypoint etching, etching, and woodblock.

For my first assignment I am starting out with a reduction lino. I am taking a short break from the  metaphorical and symbolic prints for this one and am doing a nice Californian sunset. I have just finished my second layer and and printing it next week. I am hoping to finish this project and have pictures posted of the outcome on my next blog post.

Sorry for the lateness of this post, I was supposed to have this post up yesterday, but as it sometimes does, life got in the way. I am looking forward to continuing this blog and the printmaking process.
